T20 Master Blaster Ages 7 to 9

T20 Master Blaster Program -

T20 Master Blaster is part of Cricket Australia's early development program following on from the Junior Blaster program. It is designed for boys and girls from ages 7 to 9 and helps develop children's understanding of how the game is played in readiness for Under 11’s.

The T20 Master Blaster program is a 12 week program, where girls and boys have a fun introduction to cricket as an organised game and play simultaneous games of T20 cricket all on one field. The game runs for approximately 90 minutes against different teams. Each team has 6 to 8 players who bat in pairs for four overs each and each player bowls two overs each.

The format allows parents and coaches to interact with participants throughout, ensuring the skills of cricket are taught in an action-packed game. It provides children with an enjoyable and safe learning environment where they can build their confidence, develop new skills and play games.

From ages nine onwards, we encourage children with the right skill level to move into our U/11 teams. The Caulfield Cricket Club's T20 Master Blaster Program is run by experienced senior players with accredited coaching qualifications, ensuring that your children will receive sound advice and coaching. The program teaches children the most important lesson of all which is to have FUN and LOVE THE GAME!

Where do we play and train?

Games: Saturday morning -   Times and venue to be advised but from October to December. We then break for Christmas then recommence in February for 4 weeks

We also train from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Caulfield Park main oval on Wednesday evenings during the season commencing 16 October.

A parent or guardian should remain at the ground during the session or arrange for another adult to be responsible for your child (or children) in the event of injury or a premature conclusion to the session.

We need volunteers. No previous cricket experience is necessary. A program such as this needs parents to volunteer and help work with the coaches. There are a variety of roles that can be undertaken by parents to assist the running of the games.

All children must wear a hat, sunscreen and appropriate shoes (runners).

At all times, Caulfield Cricket Club will conduct the T20 Blast Program in a safe environment. The program is held outdoors so weather will (and does) affect us. Caulfield Cricket Club reserves the right to cancel a session if the ground is unsafe for any reason.

The following weather cancellation policies apply:

Wet weather:
If it is pouring on the day and the ground is likely to be saturated.

Hot weather:
If the temperature on Saturday morning at 8:00am has reached 30 degrees according to Melbourne Radio 774 ABC, we will cancel the session.

Caulfield Cricket Club holds a fun Christmas event  to which you are all invited. We also hold a presentation function at the end of the season.
